IN-HOME BEHAVIOR CONSULTS

We will gladly meet with you at your home to discuss your dog training needs, and to help you make the decision about how best to proceed to provide your dog and you with the best possible solutions for your situation.  If you wish to do your own dog training, regular consults can be provided to keep you on track.

THEN, LET US TRAIN YOUR DOG FOR YOU WHILE YOU GO ABOUT YOUR DAILY ROUTINE!!

Our convenient Day Training service begins with an initial consultation to determine your dog’s training needs. The behavior specialist will work with your dog on agreed upon days of the week for a specified number of weeks. Each afternoon, the behavior specialist will leave notes about your dog’s day, and about what you can do to reinforce what the dog learned during the day. You will then meet with the behavior specialist on a weekly basis to discuss what you can do in the evenings, and on your days off, to strengthen what your dog has learned during the week. This training can be extended so that once the dog has it’s initial training, the behavior specialist will take the dog out in public to practice what it has learned on local trails, in local parks, in neighborhoods, in pet stores, etc; by itself, or with other dogs that are at the same level of training. After the behavior specialist has completed the agreed upon training, she will meet with you for follow-up consultations.

THEN LET US START THE TRAINING PROCESS WITH YOUR DOG WHILE YOU ARE AWAY!

Similar to Day Training, Sit ‘N’ Train starts out with an initial consultation to determine what the best training protocal is for your dog while you are away. You’re dog will have multiple training sessions with a professional trainer each day that you are away. In addition, Silver Lining Pet Services will provide pet and home sitting services for you during that time (For a list of pet sitting services, see the Silver Lining Pet Sitting page). When you return, our trainer will again meet with you to help you decide what you need to do to enhance the learning that your dog has obtained in your absence. For dogs who need training beyond what can be accomplished during the time you are away, this service can be combined with our Day Training service upon your return.

CONSTRUCTIONAL AGGRESSION TREATMENT

This proven training method is designed to quickly turn around aggression in dogs, even dogs who have been aggressive for years!! As with our other services, it starts with an initial consultation. We then set up 3 full days of work with your dog. For these days, you will need to find people and/or dogs, whom your dog does not know, to come for a an hour or two to help your dog learn to be comfortable with others. Silver Lining Dog Training will also do its best to provide people and dogs for this purpose. Follow-up consultations will be scheduled to help you maintain your dog’s new learning. Depending on the situation, the behavior specialist may also recommend Day Training or Behavior Consult services be combined with this treatment in order to address other issues of your dog’s behavior.
